Tablet micrometers are using computerized measuring system developed and patented by MICROTECH (Patents UA126928, UA99686) with 0.5 micron resolution and non-rotating spindle for measuring foil, film and soft materials.
MICROTECH wide range non-rotating micrometer has 0-50mm (0-2 inch) range that cover double measuring range.
