DEPTH GAUGE MICROMETRIC GM-220 "Brown & Sharpe", USA, about 1915
The MICROTECH Museum of Industrial Instruments has a good collection of B&S meters, in which the ancient micrometer depth gauge under serial number №607 takes an honorable place.
Rare American micrometer depth gauge has the following features:
Non-standard measuring range 0… 220 mm;
The micrometer head of the depth gauge is by design and functionally absolutely identical to the micrometer heads from the pioneer micrometers "B&S" of the 1902 model;
9 removable measuring rods of tips (from 25 to 225 mm, with a step of 25 mm) are added to a micrometric head;
The diameter of the measuring rods of the tips is 4.8 mm, which is much smaller than modern micrometric tips (6.5 and 8 mm).
