The caliper ShTs-70 does not have any marking of the producer complicating its identification, thus has features:
The movable frame is made closed around the bar with windows on both sides, with no vernier scales;
The 3.4 mm thick rod is made of galvanically nickel-plated copper, which refers to the early period of production of bar scales on soft copper;
The bar is made with two scales on opposite surfaces (on one side - 70 mm metric scale, on the other side - 2 inch scale);
Measuring sponges are made of overhead steel 10 mm long, with bilateral placement on both sides of the rod (one pair - flat measuring surfaces, the second pair - marking sharp sponges);
Has the mechanism of exact micro giving of a mobile frame;
The caliper has a very harmonious and strong construction.
